This is part of a series of blog posts featuring some of the amazing talent we have working on the technology behind Infinitus.

This week, we’re excited to be featuring Yada Pruksachatkun. Yada is part of our NLP team and has been helping improve the way in which Eva, our digital assistant, understands real world conversations and participates in them. Prior to joining Infinitus, Yada was a member of Amazon's Alexa team and ASAPP's NLP Healthcare Research teams.

Why did you choose to join Infinitus?
I was specifically looking for a smaller company, with an opportunity to build machine learning systems from the ground up and have direct customer impact. Infinitus fit those boxes!

What are you working on right now?
I am working on call automation ahead of our busy January season. This consists of working with the Operations team to evaluate our models, training and debugging our conversational AI platform, and building out tools that can help us do all these things more easily.

What is the favorite part about working for Infinitus?
The interdisciplinary nature of the work and the team! At Infinitus, we have people with expertise in different fields, and there are a lot of cross-team collaborations.

What are 3 words to describe Infinitus?
Intentional, humble, and supportive!

What advice do you have for prospective Infinitus candidates?
When evaluating companies, it is important to think about role, culture fit, and if you really believe in the company (especially if you're looking into startups!). Infinitus is in a really exciting intersection of a company that has positive social impact, as well as a huge strategic/technical advantage in the space. ML and healthcare separately are two industries that have high barriers to entry. Infinitus started off with a data-first, human-in-the-loop approach to automating phone calls, and because of that, have scaled those barriers. There's a lot of opportunities to expand in various use cases across healthcare and beyond, and now is an exciting time to join!

What’s something you are passionate about outside of work?
I love to take on physical challenges! In the past, this has involved obstacle courses, handstands, and pullups. I also love artistic endeavors - including dance and filmmaking (fun fact: I've been a production assistant in a film set before).
